there are grand and minor histories in walls. in my memory when i saw this i was sent flying back to a home we lived in at the end of a thin winding alley tucked away behind a bakery (remember sixpenny hovis loaves sid?) and a cafe "the bear's head" cafe which had an actual bear's head out front. it was strictly for lorry drivers passing through on their way out of manchester. steven
I’m a freelance writer living in Whitley Bay and putting words about music in places like Prog, Classic Rock, BBCMusic, Record Collector, Mojo, & all over the interwebs. I've also written 100s of liner notes for new & archive releases. I’ve been blogging since 1999, commenting on music in particular and the arts in general, as well as whatever takes my fancy.
